Rowan Evans: The Poet of Metaphors and Emotions

About Rowan

Sacred Misfit. Trans Poetess. Luminous Heretic.

Welcome to the beating heart of this sanctuary—

I’m Rowan Evans, a transgender poet of twenty-two years, and the one who walks the line between sacred softness and unflinching truth. I write in the genre I created: Neo-Gothic Confessional Romanticism—a style forged from shadow and tenderness, vulnerability and velvet flame. My work dwells in the places most are taught to hide: longing, grief, sacred intimacy, and the dark beauty of emotional survival.

Here, poetry is not just art—it is alchemy. Each line a ritual, every stanza a spell cast in ink and intention.

✍️ Who I Am

I am the Luminous Heretic. The Heart. The Present.

My words are steeped in grief, reverence, resistance, and sacred devotion. I don’t write to escape emotion—I write to honor it. I write for the misfits, the romantics, the ones who were told they were “too much,” and for anyone who’s ever used art to stitch themselves back together.

My influences include Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson, and Sappho—and I carry their legacy into new terrain. But I also write with the quiet conviction that my voice, too, is one worth hearing.

🔥 What I Create

My poetry lives where confession meets cathedral—where yearning becomes sacred text. Through collections like Every Line, A Thought of You, or mythic pieces like Séance of Influence and The Scourge They Named in Whispered Psalms, I strive to leave pieces of soul on the page.

I also write novellas, visual poems, and digital chapbooks—often exploring themes of trauma, healing, emotional intimacy, and queer love. You’ll find traces of myth, memoir, and modern rebellion in everything I do.
