I have been working on the biggest project of my life for the last month, it is a collection of poems that take you on the journey of falling in love and coming to fully accept it. It starts with the moment of realization that the fall has begun and takes you through to the moment of full acceptance.

It’s a reflection of my own fall when it comes to the entire inspiration behind each poem in the collection. Below is one of the poems from the collection.

“Every Line, A Thought of You”
By Rowan Evans
I used to write from a place of darkness,
Felt so heartless,
Torn apart by my own mind,
Unsure of what I was trying to find.
And then you, shifted view,
Something inside renewed.
A feeling, a pulse, something I never knew,
New breath, heart beating inside this chest, because of you.
From shadows, I sought meaning in pain,
Drenched in the silence, drenched in the rain.
But your light, like a whisper, touched my soul,
Guiding me gently towards becoming whole.
Now every word I write is a spark of the sun,
Each line, a step toward what we’ve begun.
In your warmth, I’ve learned to rise,
A poet reborn, with love in my eyes.
At sa bawat linya, isang pag-iisip ng ikaw.
(And in every line, a thought of you.)
